Privacy Policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
Divorcemap handles sensitive financial and family information. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Divorcemap is operated by Davis Schuler & Associates LLC, based in Ogden, Utah ("Divorcemap," "we," "us"). This policy covers mydivorcemap.com and the Divorcemap application.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work:
- Account information: your email address, your name, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares (name, email, profile photo).
- Case information you enter or upload: party names and contact details, employers, attorneys, marriage and separation dates, children's names and ages, income, expenses, assets, debts, and support figures.
- Documents you upload, such as Utah Financial Declarations (Form 1352FA) and supporting statements.
- Messages you send through the contact form.
- Billing information: plan, payment status, and purchase history. Card details go directly to Stripe. We never receive your full card number.
- Basic usage and device information, such as pages viewed, browser type, and conversion events (for example, completing sign-up or a purchase).
3. How we use it
- To run the service: build your case, extract figures from uploaded documents, calculate splits and support, and produce summaries.
- To keep your account secure, including signing you out after 30 minutes without activity.
- To process payments and manage your plan.
- To send service emails, such as payment notices and an occasional check-in if a case has been inactive for 30 days. You can ask us to stop check-in emails at any time.
- To answer support requests.
- To measure whether our advertising works.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. AI document extraction
When you upload a document, it is processed by an AI extraction model provided through our hosting platform. The model reads the document and returns the figures that fill in your case. You review and can correct every extracted value.
We do not use your documents or case data to train AI models.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that operate parts of Divorcemap for us: Base44 (hosting, sign-in, file storage, email delivery, and AI processing), Stripe (payments), and Google (Google sign-in and advertising measurement). They may use the information only to provide their services.
- People you choose to share with, for example when you print or send a settlement summary to an attorney, mediator, or the other party.
- AI assistants you connect yourself. If you authorize an AI assistant to access your Divorcemap account, it can access the data covered by the permissions you approve. You can revoke that access.
- When required by law, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others.
- In a merger, sale, or transfer of the business, subject to this policy.
6. Who can see your cases
Each case is tied to the account that created it. Other Divorcemap users cannot open it.
Divorcemap administrators can access account and case data only when needed for support, security, billing, or legal reasons.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember simple settings. We use the Google Ads tag to record whether a visit led to a sign-up or purchase. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage ad personalization in your Google account settings. Blocking sign-in cookies will prevent you from logging in.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your account and case data until you delete it or close your account. Deleting a case removes its record and data from your account. Copies may remain in routine backups for a limited time before they are overwritten. We keep billing records as long as tax and accounting law requires.
9. Your choices
- View and correct your case data at any time in the app.
- Print or export your settlement summary.
- Delete any case, or ask us to delete your account.
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
Send requests to support@davistaxes.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Children
Divorcemap is for adults. Case data may include the names and ages of a family's children, entered by a parent or a professional for the purpose of the divorce. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 18.
11. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, described on our Security page at mydivorcemap.com/security. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and sign out on shared devices.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
