Terms of Service

Last updated October 31, 2026

These Terms explain the rules for using Divorcemap, what we are responsible for, and what you are responsible for.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Davis Schuler & Associates LLC ("Divorcemap," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Divorcemap, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Divorcemap for a firm or organization, you agree on its behalf.

2. What Divorcemap is, and is not

Divorcemap is a planning and calculation tool for organizing a marital estate and modeling a settlement. It is not a law firm, an accounting firm, or a financial advisor, and using it does not create an attorney-client, CPA-client, or advisory relationship.

Nothing in Divorcemap is legal, tax, or financial advice. Calculations, support estimates, and drafting language are informational. Have a qualified attorney, CDFA®, tax professional, or mediator review any settlement before you rely on it.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at support@davistaxes.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

4. Your data and documents

You own the information and documents you put into Divorcemap. You give us permission to store, process, and display them only as needed to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. Professionals are responsible for having their clients' permission to enter client information.

5. Accuracy of extracted and calculated figures

Document extraction uses AI and can miss values or read them incorrectly, especially in scanned, handwritten, or unusual documents. You are responsible for reviewing every extracted figure and every calculation against the source documents before using them.

6. Plans, trials, and payment

  • New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No card is required to start.
  • Solo Pro is a subscription billed monthly or annually through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page, and access continues through the end of the paid period.
  • Per Case is a one-time purchase that covers one case.
  • Prices may change. We will give subscribers at least 30 days' notice before a price change applies to them.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Divorcemap to harass, stalk, or harm anyone, or to enter information you obtained unlawfully.
  • Try to access another user's account or data.
  • Interfere with, overload, or reverse engineer the service, or use automated tools to scrape it.
  • Resell or provide the service to others except as your plan allows.

8. Third-party services

Divorcemap relies on third-party services, including Base44, Stripe, and Google. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their acts or outages.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Divorcemap and delete your cases at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive, including disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law, survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

Divorcemap is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Divorcemap will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the outcome of any divorce, settlement, or court proceeding. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Divorcemap against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or information you upload without the right to do so.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Weber County, Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will update the date at the top and notify account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Divorcemap after that means you accept the updated Terms.
